What is synthetic Saw Grit?

Synthetic saw grit can be manufactured using techniques which emulate the natural geological growth of diamond. This involves using a high pressure/high temperature (HP/HT) synthesis process, which converts the soft graphite carbon into the very hard crystalline form of carbon - diamond (crystallisation). The synthetic saw grits from Element Six are grouped into three Series: the SDB 1000 Series, the SDB Plus Series and the DSNAD Series. Each Series is differentiated by its particle strength, particle crystallinity and wear mechanism, as defined by the Saw Grit Indicator System.
